About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate, Recruiter to join our Human Resources team, focused on supporting Hut 8's rapidly growing Construction division. The Associate, Recruiter, who will report to the Director of Recruiting, will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for construction and infrastructure roles - from identifying skilled tradespeople and project professionals to facilitating successful hires. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for connecting experienced construction professionals with exciting opportunities as Hut 8 continues to build out some of the world's largest data centers and infrastructure assets.
Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for various roles within the company.
- Create and post job descriptions on various job boards, social media platforms, and other relevant channels.
- Utilize different sourcing methods to attract passive candidates, including social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Conduct initial phone screens and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Promote the company's employer brand and culture to attract top talent.
- Plan and attend University Career Fairs, 'Hackathons,' and other recruiting events as needed.
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and recruitment activity.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of job offers to successful candidates.
- Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activities and key metrics to HR management.
- And other duties as assigned.
In addition, as the dedicated recruiter for our Construction team, you will:
- Source and recruit for a wide range of construction roles including project managers, site superintendents, engineers, estimators, and skilled trades.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of construction talent by leveraging industry networks, trade associations, union partnerships, and specialized job boards.
- Partner closely with Construction leadership to understand project timelines, staffing needs, and the specialized skill sets required for each role.
- Develop targeted recruiting strategies for high-demand, hard-to-fill construction positions, including relocation and contract-to-hire arrangements.
- Support workforce planning efforts for new build projects, ensuring proactive hiring to meet project milestones and site mobilization deadlines.
About You
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in recruiting within the Construction Space.
- Excels in a variety of sourcing techniques and tools, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and job board management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a track record of managing multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is energized by ambiguity and change rather than slowed down by it.
- Must be able to work 5 days a week onsite in our Miami office.
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting within the Energy Infrastructure space.
