Beyond our syndicated solutions, we also integrate and synthesize data to deliver unparalleled analytics and insights into various aspects of the 340B program and the pharmaceutical supply chain.

This role is within HAP Tech’s Strategy & Policy team, which focuses on 340B-related advisory engagements and education for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Robust analysis of public or client data underpins our team’s work. The ideal candidate will be experienced in analysis of healthcare-related datasets and eager to gain expertise in a specialized subject matter area.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions and create informative analyses.
  • Develop analyses and financial models using transactional data or healthcare claims data (Medicare and Medicaid claims).
  • Perform data quality checks, identify anomalies, and ensure accuracy of work product through audits of own work and that of others.
  • Provide support on all aspects of small to medium sized engagements and discrete segments of larger projects.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights, findings, and recommendations.
  • Participate in a team environment and prioritize assignments and responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Cultivate subject matter expertise in the pharmaceutical supply chain and 340B drug discount program.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and an undergraduate level understanding of business, finance, accounting, statistics, healthcare policy or data analysis
  • 3-5 years of work experience with a focus in data analytics, ideally related to the healthcare industry
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to independently execute complex data analytics in at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, SAS, SPSS, Stata, R, etc.). An interest in growing these skills and training others is required.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to work in a team environment.
  • Commitment to producing high quality analysis and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of different healthcare payer types (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers) and how they reimburse for drugs.
  • Knowledge of the different players in the pharmaceutical supply chain and willingness to expand that knowledge base.

Salary Ranges

Senior Associate Salary Range: $70,000 - $135,000

Consultant Salary Range: $70,000 - $150,000
