Our client, a leading innovator in automotive technology, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Embedded Systems Engineer to join their fully remote development team. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement embedded software for automotive control units and electronic systems. Define system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for embedded systems. Write efficient, maintainable, and robust C/C++ code for microcontrollers. Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure software quality and reliability. Debug and troubleshoot complex embedded system issues using appropriate tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers). Implement and optimize real-time operating systems (RTOS) for performance-critical applications. Work with various automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and FlexRay. Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and system integration teams. Participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards. Stay current with automotive industry trends, technologies, and safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262). Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in embedded systems development, with a strong focus on the automotive industry. Proven experience in designing and developing embedded software using C/C++. Deep understanding of microcontrollers, processors, and embedded hardware architectures. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their application in automotive systems. Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet) and related diagnostic tools. Knowledge of automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262) is highly desirable. Experience with software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and bug tracking systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment.
