Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and development of advanced automotive systems, ensuring integration, performance, and reliability.
- Define system requirements, specifications, and test plans in collaboration with cross‑functional teams including hardware, software, and mechanical engineering.
- Develop and maintain system models, simulations, and control algorithms using industry‑standard tools.
- Oversee the validation and verification of system components and overall system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless integration and production readiness.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in automotive technology, industry trends, and regulatory standards.
- Document all design decisions, technical specifications, and test results meticulously.
- Participate actively in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices within a remote team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in automotive systems engineering.
- Proven track record in designing and validating complex automotive subsystems (e.g., powertrain, chassis control, ADAS, infotainment).
- Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica, or similar.
- Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team setting.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
