Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Aviation Project Manager to lead complex projects within the aviation sector. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage critical initiatives from anywhere in the world. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of high-impact aviation projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of aviation operations, a strong background in project management, and exceptional leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for diverse aviation projects, including infrastructure development, technology implementation, and operational enhancements.
• Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Coordinate and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Monitor project progress, conduct regular status meetings, and provide timely reports to senior management.
• Ensure all projects comply with aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Oversee the procurement of necessary resources, equipment, and services.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven remote work environment.
• Manage change control processes and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for future initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting aviation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in project management, with a significant focus on the aviation industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to closure.
• In-depth understanding of aviation operations, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate remote teams effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally if required for specific project needs, though the role is primarily remote.
