Senior AWS DevOps Support Engineer

Location: Reston, VA - (Hybrid onsite - 1-2 days in a month) Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions Only local candidates

Manager Notes:

Looking for candidates with DevOps background and supporting platforms Solid understanding of DevOps, GIT, Jenkins etc.

Support existing platforms and understanding key services to identify gaps and clean up, organize FS file systems, lot of reporting.

Remediating gaps with DevOps skills Monitoring cost optimization Unix and Linux background is a plus for automating scripts.

Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Work with cross functional team to get solutions implemented and tasks completed.

Some production support – Will be facing customer. Figure out issues and resolve them and send it to DevOps engineer to implement.

Documentation for the customers Python scripting and AWS services is required.

Platforms they will be working on include – Data, Data Analytics, SAS Grid, R Cluster.

Some exposure on R and Python coding will be helpful for them to resolve issues and provide answers quickly. Example – For installing packages and deploying them quickly.

Not planning to convert this resource. Contract only.
