About the role

About

For our business unit, we are looking for you as a (Senior) Backend Developer (w/m/d) as soon as possible.

What awaits you

  • Software Development – You will be part of a cross-functional team where we understand software development as a team sport. We conceptualize and develop individual software applications for our Tax & Legal Services, thus creating the PwC business area of the future.
  • User Centricity – We work closely with our business teams and clients to understand the business processes and thus offer tailor-made solutions. You always have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and see feedback, especially from users, as an opportunity to become even better, thus ensuring measurably higher product quality.
  • Quality – We strive to develop our systems robustly and securely. We use code reviews, tests, and CI/CD for this. Continuous learning, modern pipelines, container, and cloud technologies help us ensure reliable production operation.

What you bring

  • You have successfully completed your studies in computer science, a comparable degree program, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, you have several years of professional experience as a software developer.
  • You already have (several years of) practical experience in development with a programming language such as C# or Java and with one of the common web frameworks such as .NET or Spring.
  • You are interested in how to provision infrastructure through code with tools like Terraform as part of a CI/CD pipeline. Optionally, you already have initial practical experience with setting up Linux or servers.
  • You are proficient in the safe use of Git and have experience with agile development methods such as Scrum.
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.

Your Benefits

  • Flexibility – In coordination with your team, you can expect a mix of joint office days and home office. There are no core working hours – you can flexibly arrange your working hours within the scope of operational requirements and legal regulations. Additionally, you have the opportunity to work temporarily in over 40 countries.
  • Professional Exams – Through our internal academy, international experience through secondments, and continuous mentoring, you will constantly develop. Additionally, we support you in obtaining professional qualifications: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Tax Advisor, and Actuary.
  • Leisure Time – You can accumulate overtime in your annual working time account (JAZ) and compensate for it with time off after intensive work phases. Remaining overtime will be paid out once a year. Additionally, you have 30 vacation days per calendar year.
  • Health – Your health is important to us: In addition to our own company health insurance, we also offer preventive check-ups and sports activities. Participate in our free company sports program or benefit from a discounted Urban Sports Club membership.
  • This is not all – We want to create a positive working environment: an environment where flexible and creative work is possible, where work is recognized and performance is rewarded, and of which we are proud. You can find all benefits on our career page.

At PwC Germany, we work to solve critical challenges, create sustainable results, and build trust in the economy and society. We develop individual and needs-based solutions for companies. Our clients include companies of all sizes, industries, and legal forms, both nationally and internationally. We are where they need us. Start at PwC with a diverse job for lawyers with tax advisory expertise. The range of tasks extends from ongoing tax advice and the development of sustainable tax, financial, and investment strategies to supporting tax-optimized personnel management. Look forward to diverse tasks and a modern working environment in legal advice at PwC.
