Yxir is a deeptech startup founded in 2022, emerging from the EDF incubator. We are developing a SaaS Quality Management System (QMS) solution for industrial companies, designed to centralize and structure all non-conformity-related data. In a context where quality processes are often fragmented, dependent on human expertise, and difficult to leverage at scale, Yxir offers a new approach by combining data and artificial intelligence.

The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in building our SaaS platform. Beyond development, you will be involved in architectural decisions, product structuring, and strategic technical choices.

Missions

Architecture & Design

• Design and evolve the backend architecture (scalability, resilience, performance)
• Participate in structuring choices
• Define and enforce architecture and quality standards
• Anticipate scaling challenges (multi-tenant SaaS, performance, security)

Development

• Develop robust backend services in Python (Django, FastAPI, Celery)
• Design high-performance and maintainable APIs
• Implement critical features with a high level of quality requirements

Infra & DevOps

• Collaborate on the setup and evolution of the infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, Docker)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Ensure the reliability and availability of production systems

Data & Performance

• Design high-performance data models (PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch)
• Optimize backend performance and response times
• Implement effective monitoring and logging

Technical Leadership

• Act as a technical referent for specific components
• Mentor junior and intermediate developers
• Participate in code reviews and disseminate best practices
• Be a proactive contributor on software engineering topics

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience (5+ years) as a Software Engineer / Backend Engineer
• Mandatory experience in a SaaS environment (ideally B2B)
• Solid expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI, Celery)
• Concrete experience in software architecture (scalability, distributed systems design)
