We're working with a fast-scaling SaaS company building a modern, cloud-based platform in a complex domain. They're expanding their backend team and hiring two senior .NET engineers, both focused on distributed systems - with slightly different areas of focus.

The Opportunity

You'll be working on a multi-tenant, event-driven platform, contributing to core backend services while helping shape how the system performs and scales in production.

Tech stack is centred around C# / .NET, with modern architecture patterns and cloud-based infrastructure.

Role 1: Senior Backend Engineer (.NET / Platform)

A hands-on backend role focused on building and evolving core services.

Focus areas:

• Building backend services in C# / .NET
• API design, domain modelling, data consistency
• Working across distributed, event-driven systems
• Collaborating with product, frontend, and DevOps
• Contributing to architecture and technical decisions

Role 2: Senior Backend Engineer (.NET / Scalability & Systems)

A systems-focused role centred on performance and production behaviour.

Focus areas:

• Performance, scalability, and reliability
• Debugging complex production issues
• Designing for resilience (retries, idempotency, failure handling)
• Improving observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Identifying bottlenecks and scaling risks

What They're Looking For

• Strong experience with C# / .NET
• Background working on distributed systems
• Solid understanding of SQL / NoSQL databases
• Experience beyond CRUD - real system design and production thinking
• Comfortable owning problems end-to-end

Nice to have:

• Event-driven / event-sourced systems
• Multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Cloud / containerised environments
