We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d) as soon as possible – optionally at one of our locations (Berlin, Fulda, Heidelberg) or remote.

• Actively shape the digital future of justice through the development of highly secure, innovative technologies for courts, public prosecutors' offices, and authorities.
• Work in an interdisciplinary team on the conception, new development, and further development of modern web applications that have a real societal impact.
• Contribute your ideas and drive improvements to our existing web-based solutions – your input counts and will be visibly implemented.
• Take responsibility for the entire development process: from programming through code reviews and testing to deployment and operation – you significantly contribute to shaping the technical quality standard.
• Regularly exchange ideas with subject matter experts, product owners, and technical stakeholders to jointly develop the best solutions for a future-proof digital rule of law.

What you bring

• A successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or alternatively relevant IT experience.
• Very good knowledge of backend technologies based on Java (Java Spring, Oracle, Hibernate, REST).
• Good knowledge of single-page applications, web technologies, and web services.
• Sound experience in the conception, development, and maintenance of large software projects.
• A structured way of working, analytical thinking, initiative, solution orientation, and a high quality awareness.
• Good German and English language skills.
