A growing organisation is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to own the rebuild, migration, and long-term evolution of its digital ecosystem, beginning with the transition of its primary website to a modern headless WordPress and Next.js architecture. This role will oversee the architecture, development, and continuous optimisation of digital platforms, with a strong focus on performance, SEO, user experience, scalability, and AI-

readiness.

• *Key Accountabilities**

applications, including a company intranet and other business-critical tools. • Website Development & Ownership • Architect, oversee, and maintain a fast, scalable, SEO-optimised digital platform built on headless WordPress and Next.js. • Ensure all third-party integrations (CRM, property data feeds, recruitment systems,

search platforms, email services, etc.) function reliably within the ecosystem. • Technical Leadership • Lead technical decision-making across digital products, ensuring best-in-class standards for SEO, UX, Core Web Vitals, structured data, accessibility, and AI-

readiness (including large language model content ingestion considerations). • Ensure architectural decisions align with long-term digital strategy, supporting multilingual capability, personalisation, advanced search, and performance optimisation. • Implement monitoring, uptime alerts, logging, and analytics across cloud hosting,

CDN, search, CMS, and infrastructure environments. • Cross-Functional Collaboration • Collaborate with marketing, leadership, SEO, product, and operational teams to shape a platform that supports growth, lead generation, and new business capabilities. • Act as the technical bridge between internal stakeholders and external development partners. • Digital Team Leadership • Build and manage an effective hybrid development model, including external agency resources, offshore/contract support, and in-house capability. • Establish clear documentation standards, sprint processes, and structured handover procedures across multiple time zones where applicable. • DevOps & Infrastructure • Own infrastructure across cloud hosting environments, CDN services, search platforms, transactional email systems, and associated technologies. • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, environment branching strategies,

automated testing frameworks, and rollback procedures aligned to sprint definitions of done. • Innovation & Future Proofing • Evaluate and introduce technologies that improve performance, scalability,

including demonstrated leadership and management capability. • *Educational Qualifications** • Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Digital Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience and certifications. • *Technical Qualifications** • Proven experience delivering headless WordPress and Next.js solutions in production environments. • Strong understanding of API-driven architecture and integration of enterprise-level platforms (e.g., CRM systems, search platforms, recruitment systems, property data feeds). • Demonstrated experience delivering projects within agile sprint frameworks. • Experience managing external development agencies or distributed teams. • Familiarity with infrastructure migration and multi-environment CI/CD workflows. • Advanced full-stack development expertise using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, Node.js). • Deep understanding of performance optimisation, Core Web Vitals, SEO best practices, structured data, web accessibility, and user experience principles. • Strong knowledge of structured data formats (Schema.org, JSON-LD, OpenGraph). • Familiarity with
