About the role

About Alpha

Alpha is creating a reimagined high school—one where students don't absorb lectures or memorize facts. Instead, they build, ship, communicate, and scale. They launch projects, validate ideas, and acquire practical skills most adults never obtain. Your responsibility is ensuring they complete this work to a high standard.

You will engage directly with high school students as they launch businesses, manage projects, and cultivate the confidence, communication ability, and competence necessary for post-graduation success. You are not here to deliver theory. You are here to guide execution. You will establish rigorous expectations, enforce accountability, and challenge students to create work that meets professional standards.

This position suits individuals who have accomplished something substantive outside academia—launched a product, expanded an audience, operated within a startup, or produced results in a dynamic environment—and wish to leverage that background to develop emerging talent. If you seek a conventional teaching position, look elsewhere. If you aim to influence how driven teenagers think, operate, and perform, this is your opportunity.

If you've built something tangible in your career and want to dedicate your time guiding motivated teenagers toward their potential, this is your platform. Apply now

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design practical workshops that teach students strategies for building genuine social media audiences
  • Mentor students on content development, spanning ideation through optimization with AI-powered tools
  • Support students in transforming their personal expertise into recognizable brands
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group coaching to help students define objectives, maintain consistency, and produce concrete deliverables
  • Maintain accountability to rigorous standards in communication quality, work output, and commitment
  • Supervise students through practical projects (entrepreneurship, marketing, software development, etc.) while demanding measurable outcomes
  • Monitor student development across the 3 C's and take action when performance declines
  • Maintain transparent communication with students and parents regarding progress, shortfalls, and improvement plans

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Conducting conventional lectures or following a prescribed curriculum
  • Evaluating large volumes of homework or emphasizing abstract theory
  • Accommodating disengaged students or compromising standards for comfort
  • Functioning within a sluggish, bureaucratic educational institution

Senior Brand Manager Key Responsibilities

Produce quantifiable improvement in students' confidence, communication, and practical capability by coaching them to execute consistently at an elevated standard.

Basic Requirements

  • Proven record of significant personal accomplishment in at least one practical domain: founding a company, building an audience, generating revenue, publishing research, competing at an elite level, or equivalent
  • Effective coaching and mentoring capabilities, with demonstrated ability to motivate teenagers
  • 3+ years coaching/mentoring teenagers
  • Superior communication and presentation abilities
  • AI/tech proficiency (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
  • Willing to work on-site in Austin, TX. Relocation assistance is available
  • Able to work in the US without visa sponsorship
