Our client, a dynamic force in the FMCG sector, is actively searching for an experienced and strategic Senior Brand Manager to spearhead the growth and development of key brands. This crucial role, located in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, NG, requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in brand building, market strategy, and consumer engagement within the fast-paced consumer goods industry. You will be responsible for shaping brand identity, driving market share, and ensuring long-term brand equity and profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans, to achieve business objectives and enhance brand perception.
- Conduct in-depth market research, consumer analysis, and competitive landscape assessments to identify opportunities and threats.
- Manage the brand's P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, ensuring profitability and efficient resource allocation.
- Oversee product innovation pipelines, working closely with R&D, sales, and marketing teams to launch new products and line extensions successfully.
- Develop and implement integrated marketing communication plans across various channels (advertising, digital, social media, PR, trade marketing) to drive brand awareness and consumer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies (advertising, media, research) to ensure high-quality execution of brand initiatives.
- Monitor brand performance metrics, analyze sales data, and provide regular reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Champion the brand internally, ensuring alignment and understanding across all relevant departments.
- Identify emerging consumer trends and category dynamics to adapt brand strategies accordingly.
- Mentor and develop junior brand management team members.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive brand management experience within the FMCG industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing brand strategies that have driven significant market share growth and brand equity.
- Strong understanding of consumer insights, market research methodologies, and the principles of integrated marketing communications.
- Proven P&L management experience and financial acumen.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external agency partners.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with marketing analytics platforms.
- Passion for consumer brands and a deep understanding of consumer behavior.
