Our client, a distinguished player in the Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a Senior Brand Manager to oversee and grow their portfolio of premium products. The role is pivotal in driving brand strategy, market penetration, and consumer engagement within the competitive South African market. Based in George, Western Cape, ZA, with flexibility for remote work, you will develop and execute comprehensive brand plans that encompass product innovation, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive brand plans, including product innovation, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Conduct market analysis, identify consumer insights, and translate these into actionable brand initiatives.
- Manage the brand’s P&L, ensuring profitability and market‑share growth.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, R&D, and supply‑chain teams to ensure cohesive execution of brand strategies.
- Lead the development of compelling advertising and digital‑marketing strategies.
- Manage external agencies and partners.
- Monitor brand performance against key KPIs and adjust strategies as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive brand‑management experience, preferably in the premium FMCG segment.
- Proven track record of successful brand launches and growth.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG landscape and market dynamics.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and project‑management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Creative flair for developing impactful brand narratives.
- Ability to navigate complex market environments and inspire cross‑functional teams.
