Kijimea - From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: to specifically utilize the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for everyone.
A first major milestone on this path was achieved in 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the most researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its efficacy and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.
We work with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and mental disorders. In short: we investigate how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.
Today, we are among the fastest-growing healthcare companies worldwide. We reach our customers through various channels: direct communication with doctors and pharmacists, as well as print, TV, and digital marketing. To further expand our rapidly growing business in Europe, we are looking for a (Senior) Brand / Product Manager (w/m/d) to support us in this mission. Our goal is clearly defined: by 2028, we want to make Kijimea the world's largest DTC probiotic brand, thereby giving over 50 million people a better life annually.
Responsibilities
- You will develop and implement marketing, target group, and positioning concepts for our international markets.
- You will drive the development and market launch of innovative products. You will work closely with e-commerce, graphics, quality assurance (QA), purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to realize integrated, impactful launches.
- You will be responsible for international market and competitor monitoring for Kijimea products and identify strategic fields of action from this.
- You will develop data-based market models and forecasts and derive strategic sales and revenue planning for our core markets from them.
- You will develop compelling marketing stories for our products and create communication materials for D2C channels and professional circles.
- You will be responsible for the technical guidance and mentoring of junior colleagues in product management.
Requirements
- You have successfully completed a university degree, for example, with a focus on Business Administration/Marketing.
- You have several years of professional experience (at least 4 years) in product and/or brand management, preferably in the healthcare or FMCG sector.
- You confidently coordinate cross-functional teams and have a structured way of working: stakeholder management and prioritization are routine for you.
- You have strong analytical skills and a flair for numbers, and you derive clear recommendations for action from your analyses.
- You think entrepreneurially and strategically, act proactively, and remain resilient even in dynamic situations.
- You communicate excellently in German and English (at least C1 level); another European language is an advantage.
