About the Position

The Senior Business Analyst serves as a critical partner in facilitating digital transformation and change management across the Nomura Asset Management investment platform. This role provides essential leverage and support to investment teams including equities, fixed income, and multi-asset teams. The position requires an independent, senior-level professional who can work with minimal oversight while serving as the primary liaison between technology solutions and investment operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake documentation and analysis of investment requests and technology requirements
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders on solution design and implementation approaches
  • Facilitate the design and development of innovative investment solutions across multiple asset classes
  • Lead project management for technology implementations and process improvement initiatives
  • Serve as primary communication liaison between investment teams and technology/operations groups
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives and change management processes
  • Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into actionable technology solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of investment platform enhancements
  • Support business continuity planning and risk mitigation strategies
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field
  • 7-10+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role, or in a related role that required direct stakeholder support in writing business specifications
  • Advanced knowledge of and substantiated work within business analysis methodologies (Agile) and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in documentation tools (Confluence, DrawIO for process mapping), data analysis tools (Excel, SQL basics, Aladdin) and project management tools (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven stakeholder management experience across multiple business units
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Leadership and management competency

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the Investment Management/Asset Management industry is a plus
