Senior Business Analyst – Pharmaceutical R&D / Laboratory Informatics (ELN / Lead Optimization)

Key Highlights of the Role:

• Strong experience in Life Sciences, preclinical research, pharmaceuticals, or drug development, combined with proven hands-on experience in ELN and digitalization
• A scientific research background (Master’s degree or PhD) is required
• Ability to articulate and explain scientific and technical requirements in French

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Product Management, internal subject matter experts, technical teams, and client end users to understand key business requirements
• Gather and analyze requirements through workshops, translate scientific requirements into actionable user stories and product roadmaps, and produce detailed functional specifications and related deliverables, including acceptance criteria
• Track project progress and deliver demonstrations to internal stakeholders and end users
• Understand underlying application infrastructures, systems, and processes to ensure effective execution
• Perform impact assessments related to functional changes
• Implement improvements and processes in line with industry standards
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business needs
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation
• Proactively propose continuous service improvement, automation initiatives, and application performance enhancements
• Lead and coordinate the Business Analyst team on product-related projects
• Work closely with the client-side Product Owner on backlog prioritization, constraint management, and delivery support

Required Skills:

Life Sciences Expertise:

• Strong expertise in Lead Optimization and process development

Technical Skills

• Solid knowledge of laboratory applications, including installation, configuration, customization, and integration with other systems and workflows
• Proven hands-on experience with ELN platforms (workbooks, Compose & Capture, inventory management, equipment classification and configuration)

Documentation

• Ability to produce clear, structured, and comprehensive documentation (analysis, requirements, proposals)

Lead Optimization Applications

• Strong functional and technical understanding of lead optimization applications, including configuration, customization, and system integrations

Agile Methodologies

• Strong command of Agile principles and tools for project tracking and delivery

Soft Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with solid problem-solving capabilities

Education:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biology, or Chemistry or significant experience working with early-stage research applications or laboratory equipment specialization
