About the Role
In this role as a Senior Business Execution Consultant at Wells Fargo, your primary focus will be on designing, enabling, and executing Risk Intelligence, Governance, Analytics, and Data Visualization routines across the CIB COO Risk Program portfolio. Your responsibilities will include obtaining, sorting, analyzing, understanding, and reporting risk management data sets to drive governance, risk reporting, and risk mitigation strategies across the portfolio. Your work will directly impact senior leadership decisions regarding risk mitigation investments and will provide transparency of risk mitigation outcomes to key constituents and regulatory bodies. You will be involved in innovating new routines, ensuring sustainable execution of existing routines, and handling ad-hoc requests related to emerging risks and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the head of Risk Intelligence to develop and influence analytical strategies for uniquely complex and sustainable business data and reporting needs
- Lead tactical development and execution of reporting, visualization, and analytics routines to support cross-organizational needs
- Deliver innovative solutions, drive best practices, and innovate data reporting techniques, routines, and projects
- Participate in various assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root cause testing of compliance and business metrics
- Present recommendations for the development, implementation, and monitoring of improvement solutions
- Review and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations
- Utilize independent judgment to guide complex risk deliverables
- Collaborate and consult with leaders and executive management
- Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry
- University degree in Business or related discipline
- Minimum 8-10 years of work experience with 3 years of experience in business intelligence/analytics
- Availability to align with US working hours
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence technologies such as Power BI and Tableau
- Ability to communicate insights and findings effectively, both in writing and verbally, to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret data and handle complex scenarios
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, management, FL Control, and IRM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with programming languages like Python, SQL, and R
- Understanding of data cleaning and preprocessing techniques
- Knowledge of data visualization principles
- Proficiency in developing interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports
- Understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and methodologies
- Ability to extract actionable insights from data sources
- Experience in importing and connecting data from different sources such as Excel, SQL databases, web services, etc.
