Your Responsibilities

The Everllence Four-Stroke Regulatory Office in Augsburg is seeking a dedicated Senior Certification Engineer to provide technical and operational coordination for their area of expertise in all projects and processes within R&D Engineering Four-Stroke. You will fully represent R&D Engineering Four-Stroke and the associated engine families on regulatory matters, liaising with classification societies, product approval bodies, and authorities. You will also coordinate the input of concerns in this context to associations and committees. Furthermore, you will independently coordinate projects for the approval of engine types, engine systems, and concepts in the Everllence market environment.

• Independent planning, coordination, support, and execution of engine type approval tests (TAT) considering applicable regulations and customer specifications
• Planning, coordination, and support of engine type approval extensions
• Support of specialist departments in the creation of approval documents
• Evaluation, structured consolidation, and finalization of approval documents according to the requirements of classification societies
• Submission of approval documents to classification societies and tracking of the approval process
• Support in process and tool development for the aforementioned topics
• Continuous development of processes and procedures
• Central point of contact for development departments, sales (Marine, Retrofit), product management, licensing department, and production in cooperation with classification societies and customers
• Participation as a committee member in associations and regulatory working groups

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in engineering or a comparable degree
• Ability to analyze and interpret regulatory requirements
• Proficient use of SAP and common Office applications
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Knowledge of Navy/Military regulations of classification societies such as ABS, LR, DNV, BV, RINAMIL is desirable
• Openness to acquire regulatory knowledge about additional product categories and markets
• Independent working style combined with cost and schedule discipline
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as a high degree of personal integrity
• Willingness to undertake business trips domestically and internationally
