Responsibilities
- Lead the civil engineering component of facility planning and final design projects.
- Ensure overall project quality of civil engineering work performed.
- Provide client service and utilize assigned staff effectively.
- Manage project profitability.
- Assess site features and create site layouts.
- Design utilities systems and pavements, grading and drainage, stormwater management and erosion & sediment control.
- Write project specifications and develop integrated facility site plans with other design disciplines.
- Provide services during construction including review and approval of contractor submittal documents and addressing contractor RFIs.
- Develop labor budgets for civil engineering design effort.
- Develop cost-effective and feasible phased plans for upgrades and replacement of site infrastructure.
- Attend multi-discipline design meetings and interact with clients.
- Lead a team of EITs and civil support staff.
- Mentor less experienced employees and manage civil design project teams.
- Collaborate with senior engineers of other disciplines and architects.
- Report design progress to Project Managers and clients.
- Develop solutions with coastal engineers addressing water, resiliency, and disaster recovery challenges.
- Supervise onsite topographic and utility survey teams.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- At least 15 years of progressive responsibility and experience in site development projects including sealing design documents as the Engineer of Record.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Strong background in plan production and project execution while leading design teams.
- AutoCAD Civil3D design experience.
- United States Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Federal clients and projects.
- Experience with Bluebeam software.

Salary
The base salary range for this position is $100,300.00 to $155,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Jacobs values collaboration and in-person interactions for culture and client delivery. The hybrid working policy allows employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations to deliver their best work.
