Senior Civil Project Manager - Remote

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Project Manager to lead and oversee diverse civil engineering projects. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to manage projects from anywhere in Nigeria. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in project planning, execution, and delivery within the civil infrastructure sector. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while managing client relationships and leading project teams effectively.

Responsibilities: Manage the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate effectively with engineers, contractors, stakeholders, and clients in a remote setting. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. Manage project budgets and control costs to ensure financial objectives are met. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and permit requirements. Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and efficient communication. Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients. Conduct site visits as necessary to monitor progress and address on-site challenges. Manage client expectations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in civil engineering and project management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, buildings, utilities). Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management methodologies. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in contract management and financial oversight of projects. Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects concurrently. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is highly desirable. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus. Comfortable using remote collaboration tools and working effectively within a distributed team structure.
