Definition
This position is responsible for supporting the Clinical Data Analytics Manager in facilitating methods of cataloging, analyzing, and extracting patient information using the electronic medical record (EMR) and external reporting systems. This position requires understanding of data systems and how they relate to medical policies, procedures, and use of health information.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Serve as organizational lead on clinical data mapping, issue resolution, and customization of the Relevant reporting system to meet data analytics needs including those for UDS, QI and PCMH.
- Prepares monthly reporting on patients, visits, telephone encounters, no show rates, insurance status, slides, income levels, eligibility, and recertification, etc.
- Prepare reports on grant deliverables and recurring reports including the General Assembly Funding Report, the Ready-To-Read reports, the Vaccines for Children Reports, and assist with selected components of quarterly reports for county funders such as Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, etc.
- Assist as needed with comprehensive biweekly COVID reporting to HRSA on all COVID tests and vaccine doses administered by HealthWorks or by external providers/entities (i.e., CVS).
- Support Clinical Data Analytics Manager, as needed, in development of a wide range of specialized reports for tracking new patients, patients not seen, patient demographics by county, and other areas as needed to support the organization?s ability to respond to or track emerging issues.
- Provide targeted reports to key users such as the COO, Site Office Managers, and Certified Application Counselors to reduce data gaps.
- Support Clinical Data Analytics Manager, as needed, in providing data to support organizational clinical projects.
- Serve as a key member of the annual UDS reporting team.
- Provide overview training to all new providers on the Relevant reporting system.
- Participate in meetings of various committees and task forces as requested by Clinical Data Analytics Manager.
- Support Clinical Data Analytics Manager with the identification of areas of unmet data management needs collaborate with other HealthWorks? leaders in identifying means of resolving or reducing the impact of these unmet needs.
- Assists with analysis of external data definitions documentation and mapping processes.
- Assists the Director of Quality and Risk (DQR) with QA functions for the data integration processes and repository metrics.
- Collaborates with other staff to meet data documenting and metric needs.
- Participates in the validation of data load processes and the quality of the data loaded into clinical data repositories.
- Responsible for maintaining, storing, mapping, and analyzing medical, lab and any other health data in compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures.
