Senior Cloud Architect [Azure]

Introduction

Our client a leader within the healthcare industry requires a Senior Cloud Architect. This role will be based in Sunninghill, JHB.

The Senior Cloud Architect will be responsible for leading, coordinating and implementing all cloud deployments from a technology architecture perspective.

Responsible for conceptualising architectural approaches, developing and validating both on premise and cloud architecture and high-level solution design against business requirements and best practices, and guiding and mentoring operational teams on methodologies, processes and cloud best practices according to the Company's Enterprise Architecture Framework and methodologies.

Duties & Responsibilities • Cloud design and architecture • Windows Server Operating Systems • Virtualisation • Information Security and compliance • Reporting and trend analysis • Cloud backups and monitoring of cloud resources • Microsoft architecture and solution design • Project management • Business continuity and disaster recovery • Cloud infrastructure Support and Management • System automation (PowerShell scripting) • O365 Support and Management • Implement and automate the deployment of IaaS and PaaS services in Azure. • Develop and implement cloud strategy and vision, enterprise cloud security, cloud solution design and delivery, cloud migrations, infrastructure automation across a wide range of platforms.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications: • B degree OR relevant technology advanced diploma at NQF level 7. • Microsoft Certified Cloud Architect. • Microsoft Specialist: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions. • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist.

Experience: • Minimum 8 - 10 years in senior cloud architect/azure devops engineer. • Minimum 5 years’ Microsoft technology and solutions design experience.
