Senior Cloud Data Platform Engineer

We are working with a leading German publishing and software company that empowers professionals across various industries with critical information, modern software solutions, and comprehensive training. They are looking for a skilled professional to join their team and drive the development of their core data platform.

The Role

• Develop and expand a scalable, secure data platform to support current and future data analytics applications.
• Design, implement, and operate robust data processes and data-driven services.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure high data quality and reliable data supply for data scientists.
• Administer user and data management within the platform.
• Evaluate and introduce modern database solutions, tools, and frameworks.
• Ensure compliance, security, and stability standards.
• Actively participate in agile processes and act as a communication interface between technical and business departments.

What You'll Need

• Experience in moderation, stakeholder communication, and requirements engineering.
• Understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and cross-organizational collaboration.
• Strong communication skills in German (at least C1).
• Proactive, solution-oriented thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex contexts, structure them, and communicate them clearly.
• Strong DevOps expertise (Git, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, Docker).
• Profound experience in data modeling and cloud infrastructures (e.g., AWS).
• Knowledge of SQL, TypeScript, and Python.
