As a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer in Consulting, you will work on individual software solutions for our clients, such as banks, insurance companies, and retailers.

Responsibilities

• Shape Cloud Journeys: You will conceptualize company-wide cloud platforms for modern software development and build them together with our clients so that their teams can implement their respective software projects efficiently and with a modern technology stack. This includes not only technological challenges but also accompanying organizational changes (e.g., training in DevOps principles).
• Integration: We often don't start from scratch, but rather need to integrate new applications into the existing application landscape.
• Cloud-Native Software Development: You will conceptualize and implement software solutions for our clients based on state-of-the-art technologies (e.g., Serverless, Kubernetes). You will also design the architecture for new application developments and make technology decisions together with clients. You will support projects with your experience in all phases of software development up to go-live.
• Automate Everything: Do you get bored quickly when steps repeat? Great, because we want to automate all build and deployment processes for our clients using "Infrastructure as Code" and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud Ambassador: You can expect not only to use cutting-edge technologies but also to be a mediator of a new cloud mindset. You will need to understand and address reservations from various stakeholders.
• Responsibility: As an expert, you will often bear professional, technical, or strategic responsibility in cloud projects.

Requirements

• Experience in classic and agile project environments
• Proficient in the technology stack of at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google)
• At least 5 years of professional experience and good knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and infrastructure management solutions (e.g., Terraform, Cloudformation)
• Good knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Typescript)
• Experience with automation methods (Infrastructure as Code, Scripting)
• Experience in developing cloud-native applications
• Experience in building company-wide cloud platforms is an advantage
• Completed studies in IT at a university of applied sciences or university
• Proficiency in German, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level)
• Willingness to travel, primarily within North Rhine-Westphalia, to be on-site with our clients when needed
