Requirements
- Bachelors degree or 4+ additional years of IT experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or development
- Proficiency in designing and deploying Azure-based solutions and utilizing DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or Git
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, or BICEP
- Experience in automating workflows using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, or JSON
- Knowledge of cloud template technologies, including Azure Resource Manager and GitHub Enterprise
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Responsibilities
- Support Azure cloud services and infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure cloud environments while enforcing security best practices
- Utilize Azure data services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel to maintain security posture and ensure compliance
- Write and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI, executing them through Azure Functions
- Configure network security groups (NSGs), application gateways, and other protective controls for cloud resources
- Oversee Azure compute, storage, networking, and database services to ensure operational efficacy
- Apply security best practices and compliance standards while collaborating across teams to meet complex technical requirements
