(Senior) Cloud Engineer Azure

Your role in the team

• As a (Senior) Cloud Engineer Azure, you are part of an agile team and ensure that our customer projects remain technologically cutting-edge.
• You take responsibility from the very beginning. Your role goes beyond mere implementation: together with colleagues and clients, you contribute your ideas to the requirements analysis and develop robust cloud application designs from them.
• You accompany the entire lifecycle from agile development through operations to continuous optimization — in line with the DevOps philosophy.
• You advise our clients and design highly available, scalable, and secure cloud applications based on Microsoft Azure.
• You implement and manage infrastructure according to IaC principles and establish robust governance. The design and implementation with Bicep, ARM templates, and Azure Policies are a core part of your work.
• You design and maintain development tool chains and CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps.
• You design, implement, and operate containerized workloads based on Kubernetes.
• You drive the automation of unit, integration, and load testing and integrate tools for code and security analysis.
• You pass on your knowledge to junior colleagues and working students and actively contribute to the development of our internal processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Secure knowledge of container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Good knowledge of working with GIT and SQL databases.
• Terms like OAuth, Design Patterns, and Test-Driven Development are familiar to you.

Experience

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Practical experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines (e.g., with Azure Pipelines, Jenkins).

Education

• A completed degree in the IT field or a comparable qualification as a career changer with relevant professional experience.
