(Senior) Cloud Engineer (w/m/d) Azure Platform

As a (Senior) Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our Azure infrastructure, ensuring it remains stable and scalable to meet the demands of our growing operations. In this role, you will support internal teams in deploying and operating various applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Your expertise in cloud engineering, along with your skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD, will be crucial in driving our modernization initiative. With your skills and experience, you will play a central role in transforming one of Europe's leading virtual power plants, making a significant contribution to our mission of innovation and efficiency in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• You will actively shape and continuously develop our cloud infrastructure and platform with a strong focus on quality.
• You will drive IT projects from conception and evaluation through to implementation, operation, and support.
• You will automate processes and infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible to ensure scalable and consistent environments.
• You will implement and operate CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth and secure deployments.
• You will support business-critical systems by being part of the 24/7 on-call rotation and responding promptly to alerts.
• You will work closely with architects and your agile, international team, create guidelines, best practices, and common engineering standards, and mentor and support colleagues in their professional development.

Profile

• You have solid experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• You automate infrastructure with Terraform and/or Ansible according to modern engineering standards and create CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions.
• You script in Python to support automation, tooling, and operational scenarios.
• You integrate IT security and regulatory requirements (including KRITIS) into concepts and daily operations.
• You think holistically and bring a platform engineering mindset to improve architectures, processes, and service quality.
• You communicate confidently in German and English, both verbally and in writing.
