Role Overview
As a Senior Cloud Engineering Lead, you will provide expert technical direction in the analysis of complex systems, including planning, designing, and configuring operating systems and communication protocols. Your responsibilities include:
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve interoperability issues across all platforms.
- Ensuring the implementation of technical solutions leveraging insights from diverse client environments.
- Consulting on and assessing industry advancements in technical system technologies.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for cloud cost visibility.
- Establish and enforce tagging standards and cost allocation policies, ensuring all resources are tagged monthly.
- Automate cost management tasks and integrate FinOps tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Proactively manage and maintain server systems.
- Administer and support core Microsoft and Citrix technologies.
- Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency strategies.
- Define and document best practices and support procedures.
- Provide 24/7 system monitoring and be available on-site as required.
- Mentor team members on existing and emerging technologies.
- Participate in on-call support rotation and carry out special tasks as directed by Management.
What We Look For
- 5+ years of overall experience including 2+ years as a FinOps engineer.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and pricing models.
- Expertise in cloud-native cost management tools, including Flexera One.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- FinOps Certified Engineer or equivalent certification.
- Experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for workshops (1-2 times/year).
Compensation
The anticipated base salary for this position ranges as follows:
- $132,232 - $176,310 in selected states.
- $138,844 - $185,124 in selected states.
- $145,456 - $193,940 in selected states.
