Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect (Azure & Automation)

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the evolution of our Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This is not a "maintenance" role; we are looking for a critical thinker and technical leader who can transition our cloud environment from manual administration to a fully automated, scalable, and secure architecture.

As a key member of the Infrastructure Security team, you will own the architectural integrity of our cloud platform, spearhead the infrastructure readiness for our global Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP implementation, and drive innovation through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Design and implement robust Azure infrastructure solutions that prioritize security, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Move beyond basic administration to provide long-term architectural roadmaps.
• ERP Infrastructure Readiness: Act as the primary infrastructure lead for the Dynamics 365 (D365) rollout, ensuring the cloud environment is optimized for high-performance ERP operations.
• Advanced Automation: Mandate and execute a "Code-First" environment by automating all provisioning and configuration management using Terraform.
• Proactive Optimization: Conduct deep-dive audits of the Azure environment to identify inefficiencies, proposing and executing improvements in cost management, performance, and reliability.
• Security & Governance: Partner with the security team to enforce zero-trust principles, advanced RBAC, and automated compliance monitoring via Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Innovation & Mentorship: Act as a subject matter expert (SME), bringing new ideas to the table and challenging the status quo to improve operational maturity.

Required Qualifications

• Expert-Level Azure Knowledge: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure administration and design (Compute, Networking, Storage, and Identity).
• IaC Mastery: Proven expertise in Terraform is a strict requirement. You must be able to demonstrate experience building modular, reusable infrastructure code.
• Critical Thinking: A proven track record of identifying system weaknesses and implementing self-directed improvements. We value "problem-solvers" over "instruction-followers."
• Enterprise Experience: Background in supporting large-scale enterprise projects, specifically ERP implementations (D365 preferred).
• Security Mindset: In-depth knowledge of Azure networking (VNETs, Firewalls, NSGs) and governance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications & Bonuses

• Certifications: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• ERP Specialty: Direct experience with the infrastructure requirements for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Education: Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
