About the role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their on-site security team. This pivotal role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures for our client's cloud infrastructure. You will be instrumental in protecting sensitive data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and mitigating cyber threats. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud security principles, hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and a proactive approach to threat detection and response.

Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud infrastructure. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests. Monitor cloud environments for security incidents, intrusions, and breaches. Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures for cloud security events. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline. Manage identity and access management (IAM) controls within cloud platforms. Implement and maintain security controls for data protection, encryption, and key management. Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security threats, trends, and technologies. Provide security guidance and support to engineering teams regarding cloud deployments. Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2). Automate security processes and tasks using scripting and relevant tools. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security. Proven experience securing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, networking, and infrastructure. Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their security implications. Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, CCSP are highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
