Senior Construction Project Manager

Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to lead utility-scale power and infrastructure projects through construction and commissioning phases. In this vital role, you will oversee subcontractors, uphold safety and quality standards, ensure adherence to schedules, and synchronize daily field execution with project leadership and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage construction activities from mobilization through project completion
• Ensure that subcontractor work aligns with schematics, safety standards, quality expectations, and contractual agreements
• Coordinate diverse work scopes and subcontractors to uphold project timelines and avert conflicts
• Monitor material and equipment deliveries while ensuring correct installation practices
• Maintain updated drawing revisions and collaborate with engineering on field modifications
• Identify and address construction risks proactively to protect the schedule and quality
• Conduct regular site meetings, safety briefings, and field observations
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on construction, safety, and quality progress
• Support commissioning preparations and turnover activities

Safety and Field Oversight

• Implement site safety programs and ensure compliance with permit requirements
• Document and monitor high-risk operations such as hot work, critical lifts, and confined space tasks
• Perform daily safety checks and site audits
• Conduct site orientations for new staff

Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience in power utility construction management
• Expertise in transmission, distribution, substations, testing, or commissioning
• Strong proficiency in understanding construction drawings and industry standards
• Proven track record of managing multiple work fronts simultaneously
• Exceptional communication skills with field teams, management, and clients
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced field environment with minimal supervision
