Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Site Manager to oversee major projects in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, NG. This demanding role requires a leader with a proven track record in managing complex construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all on-site construction activities, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, tradespeople, and site personnel.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage site logistics, including material procurement, equipment deployment, and waste management.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and safety logs.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and address concerns.
• Manage project budgets and control costs effectively.
• Resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly and efficiently.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Lead and motivate the site team to achieve project goals.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a site management capacity.
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, from inception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols on construction sites.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid driver's license.
