Job Description

Within Wavestone's CTO Advisory business unit, responsible for supporting CTOs in their IT transformation, you will be part of the "Cloud Forward" team. This team of over 200 consultants and experts addresses numerous loyal major clients through Cloud missions, generating over 35 million euros in annual revenue. It offers advanced training and support pathways, notably through a community of international experts and partnerships with major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Bleu, S3NS, OVH...).

Your Missions:

As a Senior Consultant/Manager in Platform Engineering, SRE, and DevOps, you will support our clients in industrializing their cloud and DevOps transformation, in an increasingly complex infrastructure context, by integrating practices such as SRE and Platform Engineering for successful scaling. This includes strategy definition, design and implementation of automated platforms, and change management support. You will also actively participate in the development of the firm's Cloud value proposition.

Conduct client missions:

• Support our clients, at CTO or CEO level, in defining their DevOps and platform automation strategy.
• Assess our clients' maturity (tools, processes, organization) and propose pragmatic recommendations to optimize infrastructure or application development and deployment processes.
• Design complex engineering platform architectures (Platform Engineering) for deploying infrastructures and applications: self-service, secure, cost-controlled, etc.
• Lead complex transformation projects: implementing automated platforms, supporting practice adoption, transforming the operational model, industrializing through a library of reusable templates, etc.
• Organize and lead a team of consultants and experts, being responsible for the end-to-end execution of the support approach.
• Support the upskilling of client teams through awareness-raising and communication on DevOps, SRE, and Cloud-native best practices.
• Define and implement the operational model for these platforms, anticipating necessary evolutions driven by increasing infrastructure complexity. The integration of SRE and the evolution towards a Platform Engineering model implies organizational changes to consider.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and partners: supplier selection, contract negotiation, etc.

Participate in the development of the offering and practice:

• Enrich the firm's convictions around DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering topics through expertise, active technological watch, feedback, or article writing.
• Actively participate in the commercial dynamics of the practice by identifying new business opportunities, designing and conducting commercial proposals, and participating in client presentations on these topics.
• Actively contribute to the practice's development actions (business unit performance management, recruitment...) and contribute to the firm's reputation (publications, development of convictions and expertise on our offerings).
• Support the upskilling of younger collaborators on DevOps topics.

Qualifications

Expertise and Experience:

• You have significant experience in leading DevOps transformations or implementing automated infrastructure platforms.
• You have a deep mastery of DevOps concepts and practices (continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, monitoring, SRE, etc.).
• You have experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, GitLab CI, etc.
• You master Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible.
• You master Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated services.
• You have a good knowledge of container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• You have a good knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
• You have an interest in innovative topics such as GenAI.

Soft Skills:

• You have experience in team management and leading complex projects.
• You demonstrate a team spirit and a desire to pass on your know-how and skills to our offer collaborators.
• You have strong interpersonal skills with top management.

Languages:

• You speak fluent English in the context of your professional activities.
