Senior Cost Engineer – Offshore / EPC Projects
About
We are looking for a Senior Cost Engineer to manage, validate, and control project costs across complex engineering projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Working within a multidisciplinary project environment, you will collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, project management, and finance teams to deliver reliable cost insights and support effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, review, and validate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts in line with project scope and execution plans
• Monitor project performance and analyse cost variances, trends, and risks
• Maintain accurate cost reports, KPIs, and financial dashboards
• Support change management processes, including cost impact assessments
• Apply cost control methodologies and earned value management (EVM) principles
• Challenge project assumptions to drive cost efficiency and budget adherence
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between cost, schedule, and execution strategy
Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related discipline
• 5–10 years of experience in cost engineering, project controls, or cost control
• Experience in offshore, EPC, construction, or oil & gas projects is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, forecasting, and project cost control methodologies
• Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and project performance tracking
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Requirements
