Senior Creative Designer - UI (Automotive HMI)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Creative Designer – UI to join the design team at Opel Automobile GmbH in Rüsselsheim am Main, Germany.

In this role, you will design innovative automotive user interfaces (HMI) , contributing to intuitive and engaging digital experiences for next-generation vehicles.

IMPORTANT: Only designers with automotive industry experience will be considered!

Key Responsibilities • Develop creative UI concepts for automotive systems from idea to final release • Design high-quality visual assets, graphics, and animations for in-vehicle interfaces • Translate user needs and brand strategy into intuitive UI solutions • Ensure visual consistency and strong brand identity across digital touchpoints • Collaborate closely with: Engineers, Designers, Modelers, Product and technical teams • Contribute to the development of world-class HMI solutions

Requirements • Degree in UI Design, Graphic Design, or related field • Proven experience in automotive UI / HMI design (preferred) • Strong portfolio demonstrating: Visual design, UI concepts, Animations • Expertise in tools such as: Figma/ Adobe Creative Suite/ Motion / Blender/animation tools • Strong understanding of brand design language and user-centered design • Creative mindset, someone able to brig fresh ideas • Fluent English

Additional Information • Hybrid work model (2–3 days onsite required)-Rüsselsheim am Main, Germany • International candidates welcome • 35h/week • €75,000 – €78,000

IMPORTANT: This is a temporary role until the end of the year, with a possibility of becoming a permanent contact from the next year.
