About the role
Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Curriculum Developer to design and implement engaging educational programs in a remote setting. This role is crucial for shaping the learning experiences of students, ensuring that our client's educational offerings are current, effective, and align with best practices in pedagogy. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive curricula, learning materials, and assessment strategies for various educational levels and subjects.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and revise curriculum frameworks, learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment tools for diverse educational programs. Create high-quality, engaging, and interactive learning materials, including lesson plans, presentations, videos, and digital content. Ensure all curriculum content is aligned with relevant educational standards, learning outcomes, and industry requirements. Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in existing curricula and propose solutions. Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and educators to ensure content accuracy and pedagogical soundness. Evaluate the effectiveness of curricula through data analysis, feedback from educators and learners, and performance metrics. Incorporate adult learning principles and innovative teaching methodologies into curriculum design. Manage curriculum development projects from inception to completion, adhering to timelines and budgets. Provide guidance and support to educators on curriculum implementation and best practices. Stay abreast of emerging trends in education, technology, and instructional design. Develop and maintain documentation for all curriculum materials and processes. Facilitate remote professional development sessions for educators on curriculum utilization. Qualifications: Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or a related field. A minimum of 6 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational program management. Proven track record of designing and developing successful educational curricula, preferably in a remote or online learning environment. Deep understanding of learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and assessment strategies. Proficiency in utilizing learning management systems (LMS) and various educational technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Experience in leading curriculum review and revision processes. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Familiarity with South African educational frameworks is a plus. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to educational excellence for learners in and around George, Western Cape, ZA .
