About the role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Curriculum Developer to join their dynamic, remote-first team. This role is crucial in shaping the educational content and delivery for a variety of learning programs. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of engaging and effective curricula, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and industry standards. This involves conceptualizing, designing, writing, and revising learning materials for diverse audiences. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to create comprehensive learning experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM), and various assessment strategies. You will also play a key role in evaluating the effectiveness of existing curricula and implementing improvements based on feedback and performance data. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Nigeria. You will be expected to maintain high levels of productivity and communication in a virtual environment. Your responsibilities will include designing interactive e-learning modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and job aids. Key Responsibilities: Conceptualize, design, and develop high-quality curriculum materials for various learning programs. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Write and edit instructional content, including e-learning scripts, facilitator guides, and participant materials. Incorporate adult learning principles and instructional design best practices into all materials. Develop engaging and interactive learning experiences across different modalities. Design effective assessment strategies to measure learning outcomes. Evaluate existing curricula and recommend improvements for enhanced learning effectiveness. Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in curriculum development and e-learning. Provide training and support to instructors or facilitators on new curriculum delivery. Ensure all developed content meets accessibility standards and learning objectives. Contribute to the overall learning strategy and vision of the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or a similar role. Proven experience developing engaging e-learning content and instructor-led training materials. Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design models, and assessment methods. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Experience with multimedia development is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Strong project management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. This role is based in Ibadan, Oyo, NG and is offered on a fully remote basis.
