Your role in the team

• You help unlock the value of data and AI by developing reliable and scalable solutions.
• Your work turns modern technology into measurable business impact: Through intelligent automation and data insights, you directly contribute to innovations and operational efficiency.
• You support the transformation of our company workflows through the implementation of automations using traditional, generative, and agentic AI.
• Development and integration of data science, machine learning, and LLM-based solutions into corporate workflows.
• Development and operation of data pipelines as well as AI-powered services using cloud-native technologies.
• Consulting on Data & AI solutions to support internal competency development and to drive cross-functional collaboration, tooling, and change.
• Participation in streaming and batch data architectures (Data Lakes, streaming platforms, event-driven systems).
• Support for MLOps including model versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management - especially from a governance perspective.
• Establishment of 'Data Quality by Design' and 'AI Compliance by Design' principles.
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and the Business to deliver MVPs and productive solutions in fast, iterative cycles.
• Presentation of progress and results to stakeholders.

Our expectations:

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MLOps practices, model deployment and monitoring, as well as familiarity with LLMs, generative AI, and agentic AI concepts, including RAG architectures and vector databases.
• Excellent written and spoken proficiency in German and English.

Experience

• Several years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or AI Engineering, as well as strong analytical thinking skills and high problem-solving competence.
• Excellent programming skills in Python as well as practical experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native development, ideally on AWS.
• Extensive hands-on experience with modern data platforms (Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Streaming Systems) as well as containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker).
• Strong team and communication skills, experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders in an international environment, as well as a structured, independent, and reliable work approach.
• Experience in organizational change management as well as the ability to build structures and actively shape a data- and process-oriented culture.

Education

• Completed degree in a STEM field or in Economics - with strong competence in the respective complementary discipline.
