Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to lead data-driven initiatives and provide strategic insights across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in data analysis, visualization, and database management, supporting business decision-making through comprehensive analytics and reporting. This role requires a proactive professional with strong project management capabilities and familiarity with modern data tools and methodologies.

Duties

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key business metrics.
• Lead data analysis projects utilizing SQL, R, Python, and ETL tools such as Talend and Oracle to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
• Design and optimize database schemas in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies to deliver timely insights aligned with project goals.
• Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for analytics projects, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements through data insights.
• Implement linked data strategies to enhance data integration across platforms.
• Utilize VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Visio, and other tools for automation, documentation, and process modeling.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts and contribute to the development of best practices in analytics.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a focus on analytics leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL programming and database design principles.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
• Strong programming skills in R and Python for statistical analysis and automation tasks.
• Experience with ETL processes using Talend or similar tools; familiarity with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Solid understanding of SDLC processes within an Agile framework.
• Expertise in business analysis to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of linked data concepts and techniques for integrating disparate datasets.
• Familiarity with analysis skills including statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively using project management best practices.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
