Our client has a strong focus on data-driven decision-making. They use a Microsoft Fabric data warehouse along with a Power BI reporting platform to enhance their analytics capabilities.
They are looking to hire a Senior Data Analyst who can take ownership of reporting, analytics, and data strategy initiatives. The Senior Data Analyst will need to interact and work with a 3rd party provider who will be maintaining the dashboards.
Role Overview
This is a senior-level role requiring a highly independent and proactive analyst who can manage dashboards, perform advanced data analysis, and contribute to the company’s overall data strategy. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with minimal supervision and driving outcomes end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of Power BI dashboards, including:
- Maintaining and optimizing current reports
- Troubleshooting and fixing any issues
- Improving performance and cost efficiency
- Perform large-scale data manipulation and analysis using Microsoft Fabric and related tools
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support internal stakeholders and business decisions
- Contribute to and help shape the data strategy, including:
- Identifying gaps and opportunities
- Providing recommendations for improvements
- Work independently with minimal supervision, managing priorities and delivering high-quality outputs
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8+ years of experience in Data Analytics or a similar role
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation
- Experience handling large datasets and complex data models
- Ability to independently manage tasks and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Beneficial to have
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.)
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts
- Experience in consumer goods / retail / beverages industry
- High ownership and accountability
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Strong business understanding and strategic thinking
- Proactive in identifying improvements and opportunities
