Senior Data Engineer – Banner Finance

We are seeking a hands-on data engineer to support finance and payroll reporting for a higher education client undergoing a Chart of Accounts transition.

Role is execution-focused and includes building data pipelines, staging layers, and supporting validated datasets for operational reporting.

Key experience:

• ETL / data pipeline development (SQL, SSIS, ADF, etc.)
• Data modeling (star schema, staging layers)
• Experience working with Ellucian Banner (Finance module strongly preferred)
• Understanding of Chart of Accounts, finance data structures, or reconciliation processes
• Experience supporting reporting environments (Argos, Power BI, or similar)

This role works under a data architecture lead and alongside finance stakeholders to deliver operational data readiness.
