As a Data Engineer reporting to Soheib (CTO), you'll master our complete data stack to design, build and deploy scalable data infrastructures and pipelines that unlock MyC's data potential. Working at the intersection of technology and business intelligence, you'll architect robust data systems handling high-volume, real-time processing while ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Your expertise will transform raw data into actionable insights, implement data governance best practices, and maintain our data ecosystem's integrity. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to ensure seamless organizational data flow. This position offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to strategic decisions directly impacting MyC's growth and innovation.

The role demands technical excellence and strategic thinking, as you'll establish data standards, optimize existing workflows, and anticipate future scalability requirements supporting our expanding business needs.

You'll have freedom to elaborate strategic decisions and take responsibility for security initiatives, driving projects from conception to completion with minimal oversight and maximum impact on our security posture.

Key responsibilities

Engineering Architecture

  • Serve as our hands-on, go-to Data Engineer, driving the design, construction, and maintenance of the data infrastructure that powers our product and business operations, including data stores, pipelines, ELT processes, and search capabilities.
  • Shape and evolve the data platform architecture to continuously enhance scalability, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Delivery & Execution

  • Lead and execute the data & analytics roadmap to fuel business, product, and operational success.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations to understand requirements and deliver high-quality, reliable datasets that drive results.
  • Drive continuous improvement of data quality, security, governance, and observability, ensuring data is accessed, processed, and stored according to internal and regulatory standards.

Data Quality & Compliance

  • Implement robust data validation, monitoring, and alerting systems
  • Ensure comprehensive data traceability and documentation
  • Maintain healthcare-grade security standards
  • Drive compliance initiatives (HIPAA, GDPR, depending on geography)

About you

  • You bring 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, building and scaling reliable data pipelines that support real business needs.
  • You’re confident in Python and SQL, and you care about writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • You’ve worked with modern data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, and know how to optimize both performance and cost.
  • You’re comfortable in cloud-native environments and familiar with SaaS architectures, CI/CD, and containerized workflows.
  • You understand how to model data effectively, designing structures that are both scalable and easy to use for analytics.
  • You have hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and apply best practices around infrastructure and security.
  • You take a pragmatic approach to security, balancing strong protection with usability and business impact.
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments, adapt quickly, and enjoy taking ownership in situations that aren’t always clearly defined.
  • You communicate clearly, making complex topics accessible to non-technical audiences and collaborating easily across teams.
  • You’re comfortable working in English in an international environment.

Additional Assets

  • Experience in the HealthTech sector or with regulated data
  • Proficiency with PHI or sensitive data
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks
  • Exposure to ML data pipelines
