About the role
Role Overview • We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineerto build and manage scalable data infrastructure that powers ourreal estate financing, property transactions, and investment platforms. • The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing data systems that supportproperty analytics, mortgage/loan processing, customer insights, and financial reporting, enabling smarter investment decisions and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Data Engineering & Architecture: • Design and maintain scalabledata pipelines (ETL/ELT)for real estate and financial data. • Build and optimizedata warehouses and data lakesfor property, customer, and transaction data. • Develop robust data models to supportproperty valuation, loan underwriting, and investment analytics.
Real Estate & Financial Data Integration: • Integrate data fromproperty listings platforms, CRM systems, payment gateways, and financial systems. • Manage data related tomortgages, rent payments, property sales, and investor portfolios. • Ensure seamless data flow betweenproperty management systems and fintech platforms.
Data Pipeline & Processing: Develop batch and real-time pipelines for: • Property listing updates • Transaction tracking • Payment processing • Investor reporting • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all systems.
Analytics & Business Intelligence Enablement: • Structure datasets forreal-time dashboards and reporting(sales, property performance, revenue). • Supportdata scientists and analystswith clean, reliable datasets.
Enable advanced analytics such as: • Property price trends • Customer segmentation • Investment ROI analysis
Cloud & Big Data Technologies: • Build and manage cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Utilize tools such asAirflow, Spark, Kafka, dbt, Snowflake, or BigQuery. • Optimize storage and compute costs for large datasets.
Data Governance, Compliance & Security: • Ensure compliance withfinancial regulations and data protection laws(e.g., NDPR, GDPR where applicable). • Implementdata validation, access control, and audit mechanisms. • Maintain data integrity for financial reporting and audits.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: • Work closely withProduct, Finance, Risk, and Operations teams. • Translate business needs intoscalable data solutions. • Provide insights into improvingcustomer acquisition, loan performance, and asset utilization.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Data pipeline uptime (≥99%) • Accuracy of financial and property datasets • Reduction in data inconsistencies and errors • Speed of data availability for reporting • Efficiency of data processing and cost optimization • Delivery timelines for data-driven features
Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Finance, or a related field • 5–8+ yearsof experience in data engineering, preferably in fintech, proptech, or financial services • Strong experience withfinancial data systems, transactions, or lending platforms • Proven ability to handlelarge-scale structured and unstructured datasets
Technical Skills: • Advanced SQL and database design • Python (or Scala/Java) for data processing • ETL/ELT tools (Airflow, dbt, Talend, etc.) • Data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • API integration and data ingestion pipelines • Experience withpayment systems or financial transaction data
Preferred Experience (Added Advantage): • Experience inreal estate platforms, property marketplaces, or mortgage systems • Knowledge ofloan underwriting, credit scoring, or risk modeling • Familiarity withGIS/location-based datafor property analytics • Exposure toinvestment platforms or crowdfunding systems
