Your Role
Do data, coding, and technology define your world? Then become part of our Data Engineering team as a Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d) and shape new and innovative solutions for Vodafone's transformation into a Digital Telco. Work with state-of-the-art tools and open-source libraries. Take on a central role in our Data team and build Big Data pipelines for automated real-time actions in the Vodafone network. Develop database solutions in an interdisciplinary team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers. Drive Vodafone's digitalization of Network Operations forward with us!
What You Can Expect:
- You develop the data models for our databases and program the data pipelines, also within cloud architectures.
- You tap into new data sources, analyze the data together with the data scientists and prepare it.
- You enable real-time network fault detection using large datasets through your data engineering.
- You ensure data quality and optimize the performance of ETL processes.
- You support the further development of the data strategy and database architectures.
- You operate the data pipelines and the team databases at the application level.
What Sets You Apart:
- A completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience with databases (especially Oracle), data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, real-time data processing, data movement technologies, data streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka)
- Very good programming skills (e.g. in Python) and practical experience in software development, excellent SQL know-how
- Independent, self-responsible way of working, high initiative and the willingness to take responsibility.
- Problem-solving-oriented thinking, strong analytical skills.
- High team spirit and enjoyment of collaboration in international teams.
- Fluent English and German.
This position can be full-time or close to full-time part-time (minimum 30 hours).

We are filling this position at the Unterföhring location for Vodafone GmbH.
