Requirements and Your Profile

• Experience: Several years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect, ideally in a company with web and app products. Experience in the e-commerce environment and knowledge of cloud solutions like Snowflake and AWS are advantageous.
• SQL Know-how: Confident handling of complex SQL queries. Experience with dbt and Git is desirable.
• Business Intelligence: Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker – Amazon Quicksight is used.
• Governance: Knowledge of data governance, understanding of security requirements and compliance (GDPR).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills in German (at least C1) and English, a solution-oriented approach, and teamwork skills. Ability to discuss technical details with service providers and support colleagues in data analysis.
• Organizational Talent: Structured way of working, effective prioritization, and experience with tools like Jira or Asana.

Your Responsibilities

• Data Analysis: Conducting analyses that support data-driven decisions in all areas of the company.
• Modern Data Stack: Working with a sophisticated tech stack – data in Snowflake, modeling with dbt, and reporting with Amazon Quicksight.
• Data Integration: Utilizing a central data warehouse with various data sources (POS systems, sales data, movement data, web tracking, and e-commerce data along the entire customer journey).
• Requirements Management: Central point of contact for reporting requirements and further development of the complex data model.
• Collaboration: Close cooperation with internal developers and external partners to help business teams make systematic data-driven decisions.
• Business Understanding: Supporting colleagues through consulting and tailor-made reports, considering the business model and workflows.
