Senior Data Platform & Analytics Engineer

Introduction • Own and evolve Bsure’s enterprise data platform across ingestion, transformation, EDW, and business data • Design and maintain a scalable, high-performance analytics architecture (SQL Server → ClickHouse → BI (OQLIS)) • Establish a trusted, governed single source of truth for operational, executive, and analytical reporting

Duties & Responsibilities • Design and maintain robust ingestion pipelines from SQL Server, replicated environments, vendors, and third-party systems • Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes into ClickHouse with incremental loading and performance tuning • Architect and manage the Enterprise Data Warehouse (fact/dimension modelling, SCD handling, historical tracking) • Design and maintain business-aligned datamarts and metric definitions • Ensure performance optimisation (indexing, partitioning, query tuning, storage strategy) • Implement monitoring, validation, reconciliation, and data quality controls • Standardise and document business rules, transformations, and metric definitions • Support and optimise analytics and dashboard layers (Oqlis) • Provide architectural leadership for future ML and advanced analytics initiatives

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Experience & Skills • 5–8+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Platform roles • Advanced SQL expertise (query optimisation, window functions, performance tuning) • Strong experience with SQL Server and columnar warehouses (ClickHouse preferred) • Deep understanding of dimensional modelling (Kimball methodology) • Proven experience designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines • Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and metric standardisation • Experience optimising large analytical workloads

Advantageous • Azure data stack experience • CDC/incremental ingestion frameworks • Insurance or financial services exposure • Experience building semantic layers or governed BI environments
