Senior Data Platform / Cloud Engineer (AWS Data Lake)

Responsibilities

• Support Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) analytics infrastructure using AWS (EMR, Glue, S3)
• Develop automation, tools, and cloud-based data solutions
• Manage EMR, Glue, S3, and data pipelines (curated to derived layers)
• Handle production support, incidents, and system reliability
• Work with IAM, deployments, and controlled data environments
• Optimize performance, cost, and processes using metrics and AI tools
• Collaborate with teams and support migration to Snowflake/Iceberg

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Python, SQL, Bash/Shell
• Hands-on AWS experience (EMR, EC2, Glue, Lambda, S3, etc.)
• Knowledge of Data Lake, Data Mesh, Snowflake, Iceberg
• Linux, CI/CD, and automation experience
• Strong problem-solving, monitoring, and communication skills
• Eligibility for Reliability Status Clearance (mandatory)
