What you'll do

As a Data Platform Engineer at DHL eCommerce, you are part of the data team called DHL Analytics Data Platform (DADP). With that team, you are responsible for the data platform of DHL eCommerce Benelux. You will be responsible for elements such as:

• Managing releases with Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub
• Creating Azure DevOps build and release pipelines for an Azure Data Factory / dedicated SQL pool environment
• Developing and deploying Azure resources via Terraform
• SQL data migration with Bacpac and DMA
• Developing and deploying Azure Log Analytics workbooks
• Managing Azure resources via PowerShell
• Managing Azure SQL databases
• Working with Kusto query language for monitoring purposes
• Working with Docker and Azure Container Registry
• Managing Entra ID users and groups

Your new workplace

Your base is hybrid, both at the head office in Utrecht and from home. You work in a team consisting of data engineers, where you are the link between the infra and the data world. There is a lot of coordination and collaboration with the existing Infra Cloud teams to further develop you and the platform.

Naturally, you are a curious person who gets excited about new projects. The team you work for is constantly developing, and you get energy from providing developers with the latest infra/devops tools.

You are an entrepreneurial and responsible person who does not shy away from a challenge and can handle freedom well. In addition, you have strong analytical skills and know how to elicit the customer's needs in the right way and explain technical solutions in a simple way to non-IT people. In addition, you are also a very pleasant colleague who overcomes every hurdle on the road to success with positive energy!

Furthermore, you have the following in your bag:

• Minimum HBO work and thinking level
• Experience with cloud technology, preferably Azure
• In-depth knowledge of 1 or more of the above groups, so you can participate in the team as an SME
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting
• The desire to automate and simplify as much as possible
• Experience collaborating with development teams
• Good command of Dutch and English

• A salary between € 5,000 and € 6,500 gross for 40 hours, based on your knowledge and experience;
