Senior Application Support Engineer / Senior Data Platform Support Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong SQL, big data platform experience (e.g., Hive), Python, and shell scripting proficiency
• Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and job orchestration
• Experience supporting production systems in data-driven environments

Production Support & Issue Resolution

• Provide L2/L3 support for data platforms and pipelines; diagnose and resolve failures; conduct RCA; trace issues end-to-end; support incident and problem management.

Data Analysis & Validation

• Use SQL to validate and analyze data; verify record counts, transformations, and business rules; troubleshoot segmentation and downstream usage; address anomalies.

Data Pipelines, ETL/ELT & Job Orchestration

• Monitor and support scheduled pipelines; manage dependencies and reruns; support ETL/ELT processes; collaborate to improve reliability.

Technical Operations & Automation

• Utilize Python, shell scripting, and SQL for operations; assist with log analysis and monitoring; identify automation opportunities.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

• Provide timely updates; explain issues to non-technical users; coordinate across teams; handle escalations smoothly.

Support customer and transactional data platforms; understand data models and lifecycle; assist in segmentation and delivery; support system integrations.
